Mr. Sebastiano Romano was appointed to the position of Executive Director Mental Health with Latrobe Regional Hospital

Mr. Sebastiano Romano was appointed to the position of Executive Director Mental Health with Latrobe Regional Hospital and commenced in December 2021. In this position Sebastiano leads the delivery of high-quality and safe person-centred care to the Gippsland Region.

Sebastiano presents with 23 years of experience in nursing and leadership roles and significant knowledge of mental health programs and their operations within the context of Latrobe Regional Hospital and the Gippsland region. Most recently Sebastiano has been acting in the position of Executive Director Mental Health where he has provided stability and leadership for a number of areas in the mental health program.

Sebastiano’s substantive position with Latrobe Regional Hospital is that of General Manager Mental Health Acute Bed-based Services and before this was Nurse Unit Manager for seven years.
